No weather Forecast can be completely accurate, in fact the boffins seem to get it wrong more often than not. That may not be entirely fair, they don't always get the weather wrong, it's just the timing of it that needs fine tuning. The best approach to picking the weather is to view several of the more trusted forecast sites and compare them against each other. If they are all saying pretty much the same thing then they could be close to right. Either that or they all got their data from the same source.
Weather Forecasts are predictions only. They should be studied in the days before a planned outing, not just the night or morning before departure. Remember they can be 24 hours out one way or the other, so only long term observation will tell you whether the weather is going to be what it was predicted to be on any day. With practice and experience you can use your own judgement when interpreting forecasts.
Above all, don't leave the shore if the conditions are doubtful. Always keep a weather eye out as conditions can change rapidly. Better to cut short the fishing trip and head for shelter than suffer bad weather, seasickness or a soaking.
As well as the weather you will want to check the tide tabless and fishing calendars to judge the best time to be on the water.
